Anxiety is an alarm system that lets us know that we are using thought in an unhealthy way.
However, if we continue to activate the stress system with Chronic Mental Stress (CMS), we will predictably experience:
- Anxiety then…
- Panic Attacks then…
- Obsessive Compulsive Rituals, OCD (in an effort to lessen the self-created anxiety) then…
- Dissociative episodes – losing awareness for periods of time and at the extreme creating different personalities in order to divvy up the pain which would otherwise be overwhelming.
We explore how anxiety works and if you suffer from it, how there can hope for real change.
